Tansley Primary School

Learn, Lead, Achieve, Together We Succeed

Welcome to Tansley Primary School

Learn, Lead, Achieve, Together We Succeed

Thank you for taking the time to find out more about our school. We are a small primary school set in beautiful surroundings close to Matlock and the Peak District National Park.  Tansley Primary School has a rich history, a warm, caring school community and supportive parents.  At our school, we believe in working in partnership with all of our parents and carers to get the very best education for all of our pupils.

We are a happy school and believe that there should be smiles and laughter every day as every child has their own individual talents, skills and abilities and our responsibility is to recognise and nurture their aspirations to be the very best they can be, in whatever area of the curriculum.  We pride ourselves on knowing our children well, working to meet their needs and support them to grow as well-rounded individuals who are independent in their thinking, confident and excited by learning.

We have strong links with Holy Trinity Church in Tansley which is only a few footsteps away. Reverend Richard Reade of Holy Trinity Church visits the school regularly.  We also go to across to church for end of term services and other events in the community as we benefit from the support of the local community.

It is very hard to describe a school in a few words. The best way to find out more about us is to come and see us in action. Visits to school are warmly welcomed and I would be more than happy to show you around and give you an opportunity to see the school in action and the amazing things that we do.

To arrange a visit please contact our senior administration assistant Mrs. Wilson, on 01629 582448 or email info@tansley.derbyshire.sch.uk

I look forward to showing you around Tansley Primary School.
