Opportunities to join the Tansley Primary School Staff Team

Midday Staff

We are looking to recruit additional midday staff to support the children of our school during their lunch hour.

This role is to promote physical activity, play and social development at lunchtimes. This is for an hour and 20 minutes a day, 11.45am -1.05 pm, five days a week in term time only (there is also the option to work 2 or 3 days a week).

We will advise you about any tasks that we ask you to undertake with the children and you will work with the support of the school team.

Working with young children can be a very rewarding experience and in some cases can lead to further education and employment opportunities.

Tansley Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share the same commitment. The post is subject to medical and suitability checks and a DBS check.

Clerk To Governors

The governing body of Tansley Primary School is looking to appoint a Clerk to the Governors.  The Clerk acts as the official channel of communication to and from the governing body and enables the governing body to function smoothly and efficiently.

We are looking for someone who has excellent administrative skills in order to undertake all clerical work on behalf of the governing body.  You will be required to organise meetings, prepare agendas and provide advice to the governing body, ensuring that Governors’ time is used effectively to fully benefit the pupils and school.  You should be able to manage information and will be required to minute Full Governing Body meetings, recording all collective decision making and challenge.  There are 6 full governing body meetings per year.  You may be required to minute further meetings as required.

You would also be responsible for maintaining governing body records and will need the ability to keep abreast of all procedural matters around governance; therefore an awareness of sources of expert advice and information is an important part of this role in order to ensure that the legal requirements for the governing body are met.
