School Dinners
At Tansley Primary school we have Derbyshire County Council meals cooked on the school site. Derbyshire County Council put a great deal of time, effort and money into creating healthy menus and promoting the healthy choices to pupils. They also want to provide parents with all the information they need about school dinners and have developed the website www.myschoollunch.co.uk where you can find out more information.
The menus are on a three weekly cycle and include vegetarian options. If your child has any special dietary requirements then please speak to the school and we can arrange for their needs to be catered for. All our menus meet the current Government nutritional standards.
The price for a Primary school child is £2.30 - excellent value! All children from Reception to the end of their time in Year 2 receive a free school meal.
Please note that sometimes our cooks have to make menu changes at short notice (for instance if there is a problem with food deliveries) but we aim to keep this to a minimum.
