Posting Our Letters
This term the children have been learning about where they live. We have looked at lots of maps in books, online and on a globe. The children have been trying to learn their addresses and we have talked about how we receive post and what happens when we send a letter.
We all had a great time writing a postcard to our families then we walked to the Tansley postbox to post our letters. It was perfect timing as just as we had posted our letters we spotted Steve our local postman coming to empty the postbox! After emptying the postbox he came to show the children his post bag, he explained that our letters would be going to Nottingham first before being sorted and sent out to where they need to go!
