The School Day

The school day starts at 8.55am for all pupils. A member of Staff will open the school gate at 8.45am and/or Senior Leadership staff will be on duty from 8.50am. Once the gates have been locked, at 9.00am, all access to the school is via the school office.

Children who arrive late should report to the office to ensure that they are signed in for the day.

Getting to School

To get to and from school, walking is definitely the best option! If you do need to travel by car, please park wisely, there are limited parking space at school and these are limited to disabled access and people attending the school site to work and support school.

Collection at the End of the Day

The gates will be open from 3.20pm.

Reception, Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3 children

Parents should collect children from the classroom doors, the staff will call the children by name to waiting adults.  Please do not stand under the canopy as this makes it more difficult for the staff and children to see who is collecting them.

Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 children

Children will be dismissed from their classrooms and should be collected from the area outside the classroom.  Please do not stand under the canopy as this makes it more difficult for the children to see who is collecting them.

Change of Collection Arrangements or Emergencies

For the safety of our children, parents should let the school office know if a different adult will be collecting their child at the end of the day, if they are likely to be late collecting their child or there are any other changes to the usual end of school arrangements.

Children from Year 5 and 6 are welcome to walk home, however we ask for parents to give consent for this to occur.  Please see the guidance for walking home on the school policies page.  A form for walking home can be collected from the school office.
