Pond dipping
This week Oaks class took the nets and trays up to our school pond to go pond dipping. The children were very sensible and followed all the rules to stay safe by the water. They caught lots of creatures. We identified ramshorn snails, water snails, water beetles, dragonfly nymphs and mayfly nymphs as well as lots of tadpoles! We also found a strange worm like creature that we think was a small leech!
