We had a great time this week making some Christmas hedgehogs out of plaster of paris. I read the children the story 'One Snowy Night' by Nick Butterworth. Then we made our little snowy hedgehogs.
Mrs Smith mixed the plaster of paris
It looked like cream!
We had to be very patient
The plaster took about 8 minutes to set hard
We had to sit still and not wiggle our fingers
Next we painted our prickly hedgehogs brown
Then we dipped their noses in red glitter
Finally we sprinkled them with glittery 'snow'
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
