We do our best to cater for the individual needs of all our children at Tansley Primary School, those with learning difficulties as well as those with special gifts or talents.
We have a policy for meeting the needs of pupils with special educational needs whether the child has an Education Health Plan or not. We have three teaching assistants whose role is to work alongside our teachers to prepare and deliver activities, which are designed to meet the requirements of children with special educational needs.
The school is fully committed to working in partnership with parents in making sure individual needs of children are met.
Derbyshire Information, Advice and Support Service for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities - DIASS (formerly Parent Partnership) provide free, impartial and confidential information to parents and children and young people on issues around education, health and social care, relating to special educational provision.
