- provide a happy and secure setting where each child feels welcomed and valued- foster an inclusive environment in which boys and girls, children with special educational needs or disabilities and children from all social, cultural and ethnic backgrounds can achieve their full potential- enable children to achieve the highest possible standards of literacy and numeracy in order to ensure full access to the National Curriculum- teach a broad, balanced curriculum which will motivate each child to achieve his/her potential intellectually, spiritually, morally, physically and culturally- discover and develop to the full every child’s abilities with regard to individuals’ strengths, needs and creative talents- develop high standards of behaviour based on mutual trust and respect- prepare each child for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences for life beyond the primary school- develop children’s co-operative and interpersonal skills by learning to share common objectives through working and socialising in groups - continue to develop and maintain positive partnerships with parents and the community- continue to involve all staff and governors in the development of a successful school- promote the continued professional development of all staff- maintain and build upon the proactive culture towards the school’s development- optimise the resources available (LEA and other monies) for the benefit of the school- ensure that resources are used to improve the quality of teaching and learning- continue to develop the premises to provide a high quality, safe environment for children and staff
