The Fair Processing Notice explains that, for the purposes of the Data Collection Act 1998, the school processes data about each child that may be used or passed on for specific purposes. The local authority process data to:-

· Support  pupils’ teaching and learning

· Monitor and report on their progress

· Provide pastoral care

· Assess how well the school as a whole is doing
