We have recently undertaken a school travel plan which will benefit school, school children and the surrounding local community.
Our aim is to reduce traffic at the school gate by encouraging parents and children to travel to school on foot wherever possible, and where this isn’t possible to look at alternative methods of travel for example car sharing.
There is funding available to support our plan. With an adopted Travel Plan we will be able to apply for funding of up to £4000 to use on school premises. This can be used for many different things to help ensure the long term effectiveness of our Travel Plan.
Tansley Primary will be applying for this funding and hopes to use some of it for a wet weather parent shelter. We are also looking at ways to include playground road markings for role play and cycling proficiency too.
The document is available below as a Word A5 booklet, if you want to print it as a booklet you will need to set your printer to manual duplex (usually you just tick a box) which will print one side of the document, you then put these sheets back into your paper tray the other way up and it will print the back.
