EYFS and KS1 Maths Workshop

On the 19th and 26th February I held a maths workshop for parents and carers of children in our EYFS and KS1 class. The aim was to show parents how we teach maths at Tansley, what objectives are covered in EYFS, Y1 and Y2, as well as model some practical maths with the children so parents can see the resources we use in class. I also answered any questions and showed a PowerPoint presentation to give parents some support in the methods we use to teach calculations at school in KS1.

They were really successful sessions and we hope to hold more in the future as the feedback from the parents who attended was very positive.

The question cards are some ideas of how to challenge your child's thinking further.
